PIT 1 gene polymorphism and seasonality affect milk production traits in dairy cattle of Kashmir

The study aimed at identifying the best genotypes for important candidate PIT 1 gene and seasonality influencing yield quality of milk, in Jersey Crossbred HF cattle population maintained an organized farm Mountain Livestock Research Institute, Manasbal, Kashmir. cows (60 each) were genotyped traits. Milk samples (50 ml) collected on weekly basis evaluation years 2016-18, among all four seasons milk traits studied fat%, lactose%, protein%, SNF, density ash. quantity average monthly yield, protein fat yield. Genomic DNA was extracted using Phenol-chloroform method association analysis done. exon VI (451 bp) screened polymorphisms PCR-RFLP HinfI restriction enzyme, revealing two (Pp pp) both breeds.
